Left Chalet Eiger with some reluctance to drive down to Wellington where we are spending the night before catching the ferry in the morning, this is a good 5 hour drive.
Arrived at our hotel about 4.30pm after a couple of stops, checked in and went straight out to visit the Te Papa museum at the end of the waterfront.Very interesting but to do it justice you need at least a half day tour. Wellington seems to be a very nice city, well laid out and a good feel to it.Great sunny evening.
Dinner down at the wharf in a very lively area at a packed restaurant called Dockside, pretty good.
