River Trip to Olympic Park & Sydney Rowing Club

Took a River Cat from Circular Quay up river to the Sydney Olympic Park passing under the bridge and taking about 40 minutes and many Wharf stops before alighting. The park was very hot and we decided not to bother with the stadium tour and get straight back to the ferry as we had spotted a great spot to have a late lunch at Sydney Rowing Club on their terrace overlooking the water.

Later in the evening we all had a very nice dinner at Mosman Rowers a small restaurant that is part of a rowing club directly on Mosman Creek, a beautiful bit of water off the harbour.

Northern Beaches

Went on a tour of Sydneys northern beaches today starting at beautiful Balmoral beach, unfortunately it was so busy that we couldn't find anywhere to park so off to Manley where a stroll along the the prom watching the beach volleyball and the huge waves breaking up the beach passed an hour or so.A scenic drive along the coast found several more attractive beaches including Harbord beach, a small bay with a great fine sand beach.

Sydney Bridge New Years Eve

Took a ferry from Mossman Wharf to Circular Quay for the evening celebrations.There must be a million people crowded around the quay and the Opera House so it is lucky that we had a pass to the Oyster Bar on the waters edge where we had booked for the evening.What a stunning position to watch the fireworks!!.
Great party atmosphere and the firework display had to be seen to be believed.Back on the ferry at 2.00am, tired but happy.

Sydney

Arrived in Sydney 8.30am on New Years eve.Met at airport by Graham & Loraine and off to a great apartment where we will be staying for the next 9 nights.

Hong Kong Night

Went to night market with about a million other people but the lights are amazing and a real buz about the place.Off to Sydney.
